MARALIDA BELAKU is a movie based on women issues especially the importance of girl child education in the rural set up, including overall rural development. The film is oriented around how a girl's life can change if she is educated. The reason to focus on girl education was that, somewhere in the myth and hype of growth we have started feeling that all the social issues against women have reduced. But there are still untouched areas where it is important to focus our attention - the rural pockets!
